Turning 30 is THE birthday that is one of the major events in our lives.  As I edit these photos I reflect on my life thus far.

My imagination and dreams of where I would be at 30 included kids, a big home, busy with neighborhood families and friends.  Block parties.  A husband who plays soccer, golfs and watches ESPN.

Instead there are no children (yet), a husband who is obsessed with soccer, loves sports cars and snuggles with our new baby kitty as we watch Naked and Afraid on TV.  And you know what?  I wouldn’t change a thing.  Life is good, I’m happy, I live with the love of my life and I get to do the things I love.

We often don’t get that big party with balloons, a table full of presents, party hats and a huge cake.  We grow up, we turn 30 it’s sad to say goodbye to those childlike things.

Next year on my Golden Birthday when I turn 31 on July 31st I’m gonna get that party.  Balloons, streamers, presents and my friends and family to celebrate.  And that big cake!

I have a great feeling about getting older.  Life is an adventure even with mistakes made, learning from them and becoming wiser.  As they say, “You aren’t getting older, just better.”  We all are!

Here are some fun photos I took to commemorate my big 3-0!

Make it rain, throw some glitter in the air!

What will 31 bring?! Only time will tell, but I will make sure I make it great!

I LOVE THESE! My favorite is the one with your pink smile and the confetti all over your hands. It’s so lovely! Happy Birthday dear friend! I am so excited you’re finally in the 30 club with me. Have fun today! My birthday was during a very rough month for me, so I haven’t really celebrated mine. Maybe 31 will bring me a big fat party! Or maybe not. The best part about 30’s so far is that I have been able to completely change my mentality to what is right for me, and no one else! I LOVE 30! Although… I have noticed that I might have a wrinkle. And the face I see in the mirror isn’t my usual young 20-something face. I see my age when I look back at me. Justin says I still look young 20’s… but I see something different. 🙂 GROWING UP IS AWESOME!
